Paris La Défense, March 28 2019 – Safic-Alcan, a major distributor of specialty chemicals, announces that it has acquired a majority stake in Castelli Food S.p.A. (CF), an ingredient distributor specializing in the food and beverage sector in Italy.
CF supplies products such as yeast extracts, vegetable preparations, different types of fibres, spices and herbs, milk derivatives, vegetal extracts, special blends tailor made and a full range of other organic products. The company works with innovative, leading international producers.
Dr Montana will continue to lead the team and will remain also a shareholder.
Established in 2015 and headquartered in Milan, CF is providing quality ingredients to the food market. “The acquisition of Castelli Food is a stepping stone for our food activities and widens our Group expertise in this field,” stated Yann Lissillour, Director of Mergers and Acquisitions for Safic-Alcan.
