Brenntag UK & Ireland Fleet Expansion
Brenntag UK & Ireland has continued its programme of investment in own fleet with the purchase of an additional 12 new Volvo FM 460 tractor units. The company ensures the very highest of standards in own vehicles in order to continue to provide a consistent and reliable service of on-time in-full deliveries of key inorganic and speciality chemicals.
Fred Worle, Operations Director – Brenntag UK & Ireland, commented: “This investment is financially significant and reinforces our commitment to the sector. We remain committed to maintaining our own fleet of over 100 trucks and 120 drivers as we believe this, along with developing strong and long-lasting relationships with third-party logistics providers, to be the best way to maintain the very highest levels of health and safety provision and customer service levels, especially timely when there is such pressure in the UK and Europe in terms of sub-contract HGV transport availability”.
This fleet addition is the latest in line of strategic investments undertaken by Brenntag UK & Ireland as it remains committed to continued enhancement of its infrastructure to ensure efficient and reliable operations and prepare the network for any anticipated changes in legislation.
