Brenntag UK & Ireland are expanding their existing expertise in blending and developing this exciting area of the business further, as two technical experts join their dedicated team.
Andrew Ferris joins the team as Business Manager for Blending Solutions. Andrew has spent most of his career to date working at VWR International, where he was the Regional Sales Manager for the North of England, leading a team to develop business in laboratory chemicals and consumables. Prior to this, he worked in a number of commercial roles within the Healthcare team at Croda. Andrew also holds a Masters degree in Chemistry from Durham University.
To further support the advance in blending, Shaun Parkinson takes on the role of Business Development Manager. Shaun has many years of technical blending experience at Brenntag’s Bradford depot and has worked on a wide selection of different products, ranging from simple powder into water dilutions, to more complex multi component blends, which include reaction chemistry under IPPC license. An area of particular interest is the manufacture of silicone emulsions for various industries, including the water treatment sector.
Commenting after the first few weeks of joining the Brenntag Blending Solutions team, Andrew says: “I’m thrilled to have joined the great team at Brenntag. The blending business offers a major value-added service for our customers. It’s an exciting time to be on board, as there is significant capital investment within the business, to further support blending growth across the UK & Ireland.”
